The evening began with champagne reception and music kindly provided by pianist, Jim Holmes, Head of Music at Opera North. Michelin starred chef, Simon Gueller, introduced the menu for the evening and during dinner guests were entertained by Opera North’s Café Band and after which guests enjoyed a marvellous repertoire of arias from Christopher Purves and Susannah Glanville .

Guest auctioneer Jonathan Dimbleby conducted an exciting auction, with prizes ranging from tickets to the Met in New York, to a drum lesson with Nick Hodgson from the Kaiser Chiefs. The evening raised over £40,000 for the project. We are grateful to Lord and Lady Harewood for hosting the evening.
