Opera North has been a resident company at Leeds Grand Theatre for 27 years. The company has grown in both size and critical acclaim and is now bursting at the seams in the various cupboards and corridors it currently calls home.

Transformation will bring the company together within its birthplace enabling the creative and artistic to combine for the first time in its history. This will be achieved by a purpose built Opera Centre to house the costume department, wig facilities, and its administration.

Rehearsal spaces are being created for Chorus and Principals and a more accessible music library will be available for students and the Music Department.
