Technical improvements within the theatre are desperately needed to bring this magnificent building into the 21st Century, enabling it to function for the next 100 years!

The theatre has seen few improvements since it was built 127 years ago. Transformation will rectify this situation installing:

• a scissor lorry lift to provide easier access to bring in scenery
• a deeper orchestra pit which will improve acoustics
• a raised fly tower and upgraded flying system which will enable Leeds Grand Theatre to hold more scenery and thus more productions
• improved dressing room facilities

By upgrading the technical amenities we hope to attract larger touring companies who are reluctant to visit the theatre at present due to its antiquated conditions.
